Objective #1A: By 2016, Salesian students will demonstrate mastery in reading as evidenced by: 90% of Salesian High School students will be able to read at the 60th Percentile (Mastery Level) at the end of their 11th grade as measured by the Degree of Reading Power Exam.

Objective #1B: Students will increase their mean scores on the Critical Reading section of the SAT by 50 points.

Objective #1C: By 2016, Salesian students will demonstrate mastery in writing as evidenced by: 90% of Salesian High School students will score "B" (Mastery) or higher by the end of their 10th grade as measured by the Salesian Writing Rubric.

Objective #1D: Students will increase their mean scores on the Writing section of the SAT by 50 points.

Objective #1E: By 2016, Salesian students will increase their mean scores on the Math, section of the SAT by 50 points.

Objective #2: By 2016 all Salesian High School graduates will be prepared to use technology in their post-secondary school careers as evidenced by a 30% increase in the number of students able to use word processing, spreadsheet, Internet database resources from government, public, and private proprietary sources for research and are familiar with Internet Safety.

Objective #3A: By 2016 Salesian High School students will come to know and understand the charism of St. John Bosco and how it applies now and in their future as evidenced by a ten (10) percentage point increase in the number of graduates that log 100 or more “Service Hours.”

Objective #3B: By 2016 Salesian High School students will come to know and understand the charism of St. John Bosco and how it applies now and in their future as evidenced by a ten (10) percentage point increase in the number of students that participate in the Youth Ministry sponsored events.

Teams of teachers have created strategies and action steps to achieve these goals over the next few years.
